Pediatric Advanced Life Support – PALS

Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.
Who Should Attend
For pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.

Course Requirements
Completed PALS Pre-Course Assessment printed from textbook CD with a score of at least 80%. Print certificate of completion and bring it to class. Current BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification. Bring card to first day of class.
Two-Day Initial PALS Class
Attend both days. All classes start at 8:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm.
