Inguito, Jr., MD, MBA, CPE, FAAFP Elected to the Accreditation Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Wilmington, DE (December 10, 2008) – Galicano F. Inguito, Jr., MD, MBA, CPE, FAAFP, Associate Director of the St. Francis Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program was elected to the Accreditation Review Committee (ARC) of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) for a two-year term that expires in December 2010.
This 21 member, National Committee is one of three ACCME "working" committees that reports to the Board of Directors. The ARC synthesizes data to formulate recommendations to the Board of Directors on the accreditation status of providers applying for ACCME accreditation. The ARC also makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding accreditation policy development. ARC members are experienced CME professionals that are nominated by one of ACCME's member organizations and elected by the ACCME.
Dr. Inguito is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of the St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Temple University School of Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physician Executives.
On a national level, Dr. Inguito has served on the Nominating Committee of the Federation of State Medical Boards. He has served on the Special Committee for the Evaluation Undergraduate Medical Education, the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3 Committee, and the USMLE Test Material Development committee. Dr. Inguito is an active member of numerous Boards including the University of Delaware Alumni Association and the Delaware Institution of Medical Education and Research (DIMER). He is the current President of the Delaware Board of Medical Practice.
Dr. Inguito received his M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his obstetrics and gynecology internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, followed by a family medicine residency at the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine. He received his Masters of Business degree from the University of Delaware Executive Program. Dr. Inguito is currently Board-Certified in Family Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of the St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physician Executives.
